How much does a gender reveal with smoke or fireworks cost?
A daytime smoke reveal, a single shot in pink or blue, is $995. A nighttime color reveal, a 30-second aerial show, is $1,495. Prices include licensing, a Virginia state-certified pyrotechnician and liability insurance; the local permit fee is added at cost.
How far ahead should we book?
At least 45 days, so the permit can be filed in time. Local permit fees vary — for example, $100 in James City County, $250 in the City of Richmond, $450 in Virginia Beach and $600 in Albemarle County.
Is it safe to do a reveal in our backyard?
We assess every site before anything is approved, map the fallout area and mark a viewing spot for your guests. If a site is not suitable, we will tell you and suggest an alternative.
Who keeps the secret?
Your doctor or a trusted friend sends the result straight to us, and only our pyrotechnician knows which color is loaded until the moment it fires.
Can you DJ the party and bring a photo booth too?
Yes. The same team can add music, a microphone for the countdown and a photo booth, all on one timeline.
