Signature DJs

Signature DJs · The evolution in entertainment

The room follows the music.

Professional DJs and MCs, ceremony-to-last-dance sound, and the lighting and effects that turn a rented room into your room. Weddings are most of what we do — eight-time winner of The Knot Best of Weddings and a member of its Hall of Fame — and the same team runs parties and corporate events with the same equipment.

What’s included

A DJ is the only vendor who touches every hour of your day

So the booking covers more than a playlist. Signature DJs is owned and managed by Brandon Frazier — “DJ House” — alongside a team of career DJs and event planners. The list below is written for a wedding day; for a party or a corporate event the same pieces get rearranged around your program.

  • Reception DJ and master of ceremonies
  • Battery-powered ceremony sound with wireless handheld and lapel microphones
  • Cocktail hour music and transition coverage
  • Personalized planning: must-play, maybe and do-not-play lists
  • Professional sound sized to your venue
  • Microphones for toasts, blessings and readings
  • Dance floor lighting, from a soft glow to a full club-style light show
  • Wireless uplighting in your color palette
  • Custom digital monogram projection
  • Snow, bubbles, dancing on a cloud and other atmospheric effects
  • Karaoke, video projection and animated digital cakes
  • Backup DJs and equipment on standby for every booked date

Music & MC

Planned in advance, read in the moment

Most of the work happens before the day. We map out your formalities, agree on how much talking you actually want, and put the transitions in writing so the caterer, the coordinator and the photographer are working from the same page.

Then we watch the floor. A playlist cannot tell you that the room is ready to move twenty minutes early, or that the crowd wants one more slow song before the exit. That judgement is what you are hiring.

Our ceremony setups are fully battery-powered — speakers, microphones and all — so they do not need a dedicated outlet or a generator. If you want to get married in the middle of a field, on a beach or at the far end of an orchard, your vows will still be heard in the back row.

Lighting design

Uplighting and a monogram that is yours

Lighting is the simplest way to change how a venue photographs. Wireless uplighting sets the wall color, upgraded dance floor lighting changes the energy the moment dinner ends, and a custom monogram projected on the floor gives your photographer a shot they cannot get anywhere else.

Uplighting runs on batteries, so the wall color goes in without a single cable crossing your dance floor. Not everything is wireless — larger dance-floor rigs and projection do need power — and we tell you exactly where we need an outlet long before the day.

Atmospheric effects

Snow, bubbles and a first dance on a cloud

Atmospheric effects are where a reception stops looking like a reception. A dry-ice cloud sits ankle-deep on the floor so it looks like you are dancing on air, falling snow turns a winter exit or a first dance into something out of a film, and a bubble machine gives the kids in the room something to chase.

Every effect is checked against your venue’s rules and fire-safety requirements first, and anything that crosses into licensed pyrotechnics is handled by our own certified team at Signature Sparks.

Beyond weddings

The same crew runs your party or corporate event

Weddings are the heart of what we do, but they are not all of it. Birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, graduations, holiday parties, galas, school dances, award nights and company milestones get the same DJs, the same sound and the same lighting inventory — scheduled around a program instead of a processional.

Corporate rooms usually need a little more than music: a dedicated microphone for the awards portion, walk-on tracks for the people being recognized, slide or video playback, a branded logo projected on the wall and prints that carry your mark. The whole experience can be branded and personalized — lighting colors, custom backdrops, photo booth experiences including AI photo booth experiences, print templates and announcements.

Three packages are published with starting prices, so you can put a real number in a budget line before you ask anyone for approval.

Common questions

Before you book a DJ

Do you MC as well as DJ?
Yes. Every reception package includes master-of-ceremonies work: introductions, announcements, cueing your toasts and keeping the room moving between formalities. We agree on tone in advance, from barely-there to full personality.
Can we choose the music?
You build the must-play list, we build around it, and your do-not-play list is absolute. We read the floor in real time and take requests only if you want us to.
What about the ceremony and cocktail hour?
We can cover all three spaces with separate sound: a discreet ceremony system with wireless or lapel microphones for vows and readings, background music for cocktails, and the full rig for the reception.
How does uplighting work?
Battery-powered wireless fixtures are placed around the perimeter and set to your palette. No cables across the floor, nothing plugged into the venue, and the color can change between dinner and dancing.
Is a custom monogram really custom?
It is as custom as you want it to be. We can send you a set of sample designs to choose from, and if none of them is quite right we will work with you to build one that matches your names, date, monogram style or wedding design. Either way you approve the final artwork before the day, and it is projected in high resolution onto the dance floor or a feature wall.
Do you carry insurance and backup gear?
We are fully licensed and insured, and every event travels with redundant equipment. Your wedding also gets a team dedicated to it, briefed on your timeline, so nobody is arriving straight from another setup.
Do you only do weddings?
Weddings are the majority of our calendar, and it shows in how we plan them. The same DJs, sound and lighting also run birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, holiday parties, galas, school dances, award nights and corporate milestones, with the run of show built around a program rather than a processional. Starting prices for those are published on the party and corporate packages page.
