What does “starts at” actually mean?
It is the price the package begins at, with taxes, fees, standard setup and teardown already inside the number — not a teaser figure that doubles later. What can move it is your day, not our billing: a venue more than 100 miles from Williamsburg, where a travel fee may apply, a ceremony in a second location, a room large enough to need extra sound or light, or coverage beyond the hours listed. We price all of that before you sign, never after.
Is the ceremony covered in the first package?
No. This Is Us runs the reception, and cocktail hour is part of those four hours. Ceremony music, plus the wireless and lapel microphones that make your vows audible at the back row, begin with Signature Ceremony & Reception. If your ceremony is somewhere other than the reception venue, tell us early — it changes the setup, not just the timeline.
Can we take pieces from different packages?
Yes. The five packages are shortcuts to the combinations couples ask for most, not a fixed menu. Trade the grand exit for a monogram, add uplighting to a shorter reception, or start from a blank page and build only what your day needs. Custom builds are quoted the same way as the packages.
What happens if the party runs long?
The John Hancock carries up to an hour of event extension buffer and Signed, Sealed & Delivered carries up to two, so a dance floor that refuses to empty does not turn into a scramble at the back of the room. On the other packages, additional time is available and is easiest to arrange during planning rather than at eleven o’clock at night.
Do photo booth prints come with the package?
The John Hancock includes the open-air booth with digital delivery, and unlimited prints are a $150 upgrade. A photo booth guest book, assembled by our attendant during the reception, is $75. Signed, Sealed & Delivered includes both already, so your guests leave a copy in the album and take one home. Any package can have a booth added — see
Signature Photobooths for the open-air and 360 options.
Can we swap the open-air booth in our package for a 360 booth?
Yes. The open-air booth in The John Hancock and Signed, Sealed & Delivered can be traded for a 360 booth for $300, which covers the platform, the attendant, the lighting and the same on-site staffing. A 360 booth records short spinning video clips your guests share from their phones that night, so it behaves differently from a print booth — some couples keep the open-air booth for the prints and add a 360 alongside it. We will walk you through which one suits your room and your crowd.
How far do you travel?
Our home ground is eastern Virginia — Williamsburg, the Historic Triangle, Hampton Roads and Richmond — and we regularly work up and down the East Coast. Package prices cover venues within 100 miles of Williamsburg, Virginia. Beyond that a travel fee may apply, quoted openly before you book rather than added as a surprise line.
